Ricardo Semler is in London for the Leaders In London conference I would love to go the £2,500 (USD 4,649) for the 2-day conference package :( That's not the worst part. The worst part is that the leadersinlondon.com website.

It looks like one of those Get-Rich-Now-Quick-scheme site with faked testimonials and big bold red letters that you sometimes accidentally land on when you by accident click an ad link. leadersinlondon.com starts with an intrusive popup ad that you have to close to be able to read the content behind it. I would link to the page with the prices but it's a popup without scrollbars.

A Liger is a male lion crossed with a female tiger. They become really huge here are some impressive pictures. I can't even remember how I found this page but it was an interesting little read.

I knew it! I've always thought it was a myth that you have to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day. This Urban Legends Reference Page proves the myth wrong.

People always say that you should drink 2 litres, 10 glasses, etc. but if my body doesn't send me enough signals that it requires water I'm not going to drink that much. Listen to your body I say, it knows how much water it needs to do the stuff it does. I'm tired of people nagging to drink masses of water, it just doesn't make sense.

The reference page also points out another very interesting fact:

This is really sad. Steven Irwin, aka. the Crocodile Hunter, has just past away. He died in a freak accident whilst swimming the reefs to film for a documantary. Apparently he was struck in the chest by a sting-ray barb

This is bad news. Especially when I found out how much more he's done for the nature other than just he's amusing TV shows. RIP Steve :(

Hilarious pun where anybody can create a Web 2.0 logo that looks like pretty much any other web 2.0 company's logo.

If you don't know what the Web 2.0 hype is, perhaps you've heard of the "dot com" hype that happened a couple of years ago. Now they're doing it again but instead of "dot com" it's "web 2.0". more info here

Losers like me who haven't been bought up by Google or Yahoo! yet hate the "web 2.0" phenomena and considers it a bad thing. Am I just jealous maybe?

This just in on Engadget, Dell number 3 explodes That's right. Explodes! Yep, you heard right, third explosion.

That can't be good for business. But most importantly, security. Imagine if you're sitting with the laptop and it explodes in your face, whilst it also explodes in your lap when you're on an airplane!! The amazing thing is, Dell hasn't yet started recalling laptops. That means that somewhere sometime someone will be the unlucky owner of the fourth exploding Dell.

This is such a cool idea. They've "re-enacted" the retro game Space Invaders with real people sitting in a theatre. You have to see it to believe it. Very impressive.

Is it just me or do they repeat the first game once again around half way through the clip?

This inspired me to look if anybody has done something similar with other games. Of course they have. Pacman I tried looking for a re-enactment of Pong but with no luck. Instead I found this wall clock that I would pay good money for.

Funny, if you search maps.google.co.uk for my postcode in satelite mode you notice that (if you zoom in an look below the arrow) the Brick Lane market is in full action. Obviously the picture is taken on a Sunday because Brick Lane market is only open on Sundays.

It looks really crowded and big from up here. Chapel market which is open almost all days of the week is covered in a big shadow and doesn't look crowded at all.

UPDATE Seems that Google Earth has updated its picture over the Brick Lane market and this time it's on a market Sunday too! This edition is later in the afternoon though judging from the shadows. latest copy
