Same webpage, different design. Very different design in fact.

Click on "Select a design" on the right hand side. There weren't many I really like but Stone washed could be cute. sub:lime is pleasant to look at but the text is too small.

PLEAC - Programming Language Examples Alike Cookbook

Nice little webpage that lists the same programming problems solved in many different programming languages. The nice thing about this listing is that suppose you know Python you can then learn other languages by comparing them with the ones you know.

From this I found this nice article about Haskell Worth reading.

"Haskell is a modern, standard, non-strict, purely-functional programming language."

Sand java applet

Yet another useful but impressive java applet. Their website is shit and my browser reminds me I need Japanese language support (which you actually don't need unless you can read Japanese).

I like the Default and the stream

Note that you'll need to have Java support in your browser.

Detailed review of P900

Have a look at the very detailed review of the new Sony Ericsson"

The geek within me says I want one. The human within me says I wouldn't use it if I had it.

Actually, the reason I never used my otherwise lovely iPAQ was that it was too big to carry in a jeans pocket. Having the features of a handheld PIM would be nice if it'd fit in my pocket, which sadly the P900 still doesn't. I'll keep waiting.

"Perhaps even more worrying - when confronted with the same map, only 89% of Americans could find their own country!"

Even Sweden youths did poorly:
"Not a single country managed the 42 points need for an A grade, even top scoring Sweden only got an average of 40 questions right."

"Sweden and Denmark top in quality of life"

Sweden and Denmark best place to live if you ask the people who live there "The WISP study for the 1990s has just been published, with Sweden and Denmark sharing first place, just ahead of Norway - a sweeping victory for the Scandinavian way of life, with Nordic neighbor Finland and the central European nations following after."
"measures the quality of life in 163 nations using 40 different social indicators"

Apparently Swedes and Danes are the most content people on earth about their quality of life.

It's just a short article this and notes that USA ends up on 27th place and "Afghanistan and nine African nations came bottom of the study."

I can't find the homepage for this research other than the news article.
