Photo.net If you've never heard of photo.net then you're probably new to Internet surfing or you hate photography. This site is what internet is all about. Lots of people meet to share their digital content and discuss photography.

It's been a while since I last visited so I did not even know about the Photograph of the Week Gallery section. It's really worth checking out.

It's even got a large section on Sweden I guess this is created by many people but I recognise many photos by the web development guru Philip Greenspun

Morgan Spurlock This nut decided to go on an all-MacDonalds diet for one month and doing his he made it a documentary. I would love to see that documentary one day.

"His mission: To eat three meals a day for 30 days at McDonald's and document the impact on his health."

Truncated! Read the rest by clicking the link below.

SimCity 4 and SimCity Classic SimCity 4 is out. Or actually, I think it's been out for a while now, but I haven't noticed it until now.

Anyway, it looks absolutely stunning from the screenshots and apparently you can make friends with a selected few citizens who will give you feedback from their neighborhood.

On their website, there is also the option to play SimCity Classic online I couldn't be asked right now because you have to register (free I think) but if you give it a go let us know what you think.

Photojournalism on the former Soviet block

Beyond the Fall Some truly amazing photojournalism here on the former Soviet block. The photographer/journalist travels through Russia, Ukraine, Chechnya, Kosovo and many other countries. Start on the introduction and enjoy every photo.

"For 10 years following the collapse of the Berlin Wall, TIME contract photographer Anthony Suau has travelled the lands of the former Soviet bloc. In the hundreds of powerful images and audio commentaries that follow, Suau documents in stark detail the people of that region as they shed their former skin and head into an unknown future."

The photo collection is called "Beyond the Fall" because it starts when the Berlin wall fell.

Effects of LSD on drawing

Acid trip I can't guarantee the validity of this experiment, but it sure is unusual. They give a poor subject LSD in doses and has the subject to draw to see the effects.

"These 9 drawings were done by an artist under the influence of LSD
part of a test conducted by the US government during it's dalliance with psychotomimetic drugs in the late 1950's. The artist was given a dose of LSD 25 and free access to an activity box full of crayons and pencils."

If this experiment really happened, then what are the ethical implications of this today?

Pholph's Scrabble Generator

I've actually never played scrabble, but when I was a kid (in Sweden) we played something called "Alfapet" which was like scrabble but without scores. This little cute web app calculates your name's scrabble score. Silly, isn't it?

My score was 19

eBay and freedom to sell whatever you like

Fast food restaurant condiments This must of course be taken with a pinch of salt, but someone has decided to sell fast food restaurant condiments such as "BurgerKing Ketchup" and "TacoBell Hot Sauce". Hilarious!

I know little about eBay but it looks like the guy has pretty decent reviews from before. Now he/she claims to have lost his/her job and will need the money, hence selling these things.

But sure to check out the little bonus he's ready to throw in if a bet of $25 or more is but in. Read towards the bottom.

Vivisimo - clustered searching

Vivisimo logo Vivisimo is an engine that "auto-categorise" the search results from several other search engines. I don't know how but I don't care too much either. What I like about it is that it shows several categories of the search results; as opposed to Google where all returning items are listed one after another. When I search for Peter Bengtsson it then creates several categories such as "Zope", "Family", "Peterbe.com", etc. Some don't make sense but suppose a friend searches for "Peter Bengtsson" but is only interested my person stuff, or a Zope developer is interested in my stuff on Zope then this clustered search engine beats Google.

I also like the "preview" option that you see for each search result.
