an easy solution with "Value"

<button name="asd" value="12" onclick="alert(this.value)">one two</button>

on ie show one two
on firefox show 12

but

<button name="asd" value="12" onclick="this.value='12',alert(this.value)">one two</button>

on ie show 12
on firefox show 12
