I am trying to find two country songs from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s, most likely from 1980-1984.
The first one is a male singer, and the lyrics I remember are "I'll have a second cup of coffee all by myself, and one more pack of cigarettes won't be that hazardous to my health. Leave the matchbook cover open, who needs warning? And start another sure do miss you morning."
The second one is a male and female duo. The lyrics are "All week long we try to earn a dollar. Rush to work to be there on time. The boss keeps saying we have a deadline to meet; looks like we'll be working overtime. Finally it's five o'clock on Friday. Loving you is the only thing on my mind. Let's take the long way home."
These were played on my local country music station, so they may not be that well known.
