Charles Amole, aka Jukebox

In short this song is about a young man who graduates high school and starts doing shutdowns and he's making good money and while working he hooks up with his guy named Joe. Joe is a meth head who gets him hooked on meth and they work their hours and they party all night and they make it back to work just in time to clock in without being late. it says that Joe said he was 35 but he swear he looked 70 or something. The last stanza of the song talks about the young man is by himself. he's doing a shutdown in Louisiana. he hasn't had any sleep for days and his eyes are heavy. He says it's hard to keep this old Chevy steady. He ends up crossing the center line colliding with a semi truck and he dies and he last says as I feel myself spiraling towards hell I sure hope the devil doesn't work me 40 hours a week. I believe the name of the song is 40 hours or 40 hours a week but it's not coming up. It's basically an anti drug song.
