I there are a few reasons why ears can get hot for no reason, meaning not due to heat or cold stress, or normal body responses in high school due to Flushing.
It can be multiple factors and it can be a sign that hormonal something is off, you have inflammation due to infection, irritation or lack of mucin that protects soft tissue.
I was having "cold symptoms" year round, excess histamine release but for a good reason, its part of body's self defence. I had mild grade fever daily for years, sometimes would start 30min-1hr after getting up, or after eating, or toward end of the day.
My few problems were: eating and laying down, alcohol, lack of nutrition and the right amino acids. Stress depletes nutrients from the body very fast. Think of nutrients as tools.
I had IBS, which cause inflammation in my stomach right after eating. It was due to lack of specific nutrients to suppress inflammation, and to create the mucin barrier in the stomach to protect it from acid. Acid Blockers are never a solution, as that will create more problems later. My IBS came partly from Ibuprofen, just like other ibuprofen type medicine, it will wreck havoc on your stomach.
Another reason for inflammation was I discovered I had an infected root canal for years. Once I fixed that, (just one root got left behind somehow) the inflammation stopped. But so did my constant body heat which I was so used to.
Lack of cortisol or histidine or dopamine are three examples.... These suppress inflammation or an overactive immune response.
Inflammation also goes along with poor memory, ADHD, depression, poor concentration, pain in joints, Tinnitus, etc.
It's simplified, but describing in detail will drive people mad lol
I wonder if anyone would like to exchange emails or something and talk about similarities. I have an passionate obsession in the medical field.
