I’ve been trying to find this 1950s country song that my Grandma recorded from the radio (AM radio station WCKY Cincinnati). The artist is either a guy or a group. There’s 2 guys singing harmonies. So far Shazam, YouTube, Googling lyrics, asking on Facebook and Reddit has come up empty handed. I’m thinking this is possibly an obscure song and or not a popular artist and that it’s not available to buy or stream unless you are able to buy the record. Here’s the lyrics: “I’ll be around and see it happen to you. You are so deceiving you’ve got everyone believing that you’re free do the things you wouldn’t do. You don’t care whose heart you’re breaking just as long as you keep taking someone else’s love that don’t belong to you. Someday you’ll be lonely, someday you’ll want me only. Someday you’ll be crying like I do. Wait until tomorrow when your heart is filled with sorrow. Oh my darling how I’ve tried to keep you satisfied. But there’s no love within a heart so cold. Things you do are never right. Oh when you go out at night. You even try to hide your little band of gold. Someday you’ll be lonely, someday you’ll want me only. Someday you’ll be crying like I do. Wait until tomorrow when your heart is filled with sorrow. I will be around and see it happen to you.”
