In one episode, I can't remember which, Marge tells Homer that "the family should go on a vacation south of the border" impliing Mexico. But, Homer responds with "We're going to Kentucky" therefor they obviously border along northern Kentucky. The only states that are along Kentucky's northern border are Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio- Must be one of these states....and not any of the coastal states.
It's not CT, in the episode where they are on a wife swaping reality show, lisa takes a helicopter to the house where Marge is staying and when Marge answers the door, she says, "Lisa! what are you doing in the nutmeg state?" The nutmeg state is Connecticut, whay would marge be surprised and ask why Lisa was in the nutmeg state if they really already lived there?
