Actually Capital City is the name of the capital of their state. in the Simpsons movie they planned to blow up the Springfield of the Simpsons, and they give the location "South of Capital City, and Just eat of Shelbyville"

Springfield is the Capital of IL, a Capital airport resides there as well, there ya have it.
